Breeders' Cup Classic Future Odds: Game On Dude Hoping Third Time is the Charm
The Bob Baffert trained Game On Dude is the early betting favorite for the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) in future prices released by Bovada, with the gelding currently at odds of 4-1. The Breeders' Cup will be held at Santa Anita Park on Nov. 1-2.
The gelding will be making his third attempt to win the Classic. He was the beaten favorite in last year's running in a seventh place finish, and in 2011 ran second to the 14-1 longshot Drosselmeyer.
A winner of $5.6 million in his career, he won his final prep for the Classic, taking the Pacific Classic (G1) at Del Mar over polytrack on Aug. 25, his sixth consecutive victory.
The next four in the early wagering will be in action on Saturday, Sept. 28. Cross Traffic (8-1), Orb (10-1) and Palace Malice (10-1) will go in the $1 million Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1) at Belmont Park while Fort Larned (10-1) will race in the $175,000 Homecoming at Churchill Downs.
Flat Out, who is currently listed at 14-1 in early future betting will be seeking his third consecutive victory in the Jockey Club Gold Cup.
